In this guide, I will show you how you can change your StormFiber WiFi password and name. This step by step guide is for Windows 10.
Our first step is to find the IP address of our StormFiber router. Let’s begin.
Find your Router IP Address
Click on the Start button in the lower-left corner. Scroll down and click on Windows System. Now click on the Control Panel.
In the Control Panel window, click on Network and Sharing Center. In the resulting window, click on Wi-Fi. In the Wi-Fi Status dialog box, click on Details. In the Network Connection Details dialog box, note down the value of the property IPv4 Default Gateway. In my case, it is 192.168.100.1. This is the IP address of the router provided by StormFiber.

Note that if there is an intermediate router between your computer and router provided by StormFiber then the IPv4 Default Gateway property might show the IP address of that intermediate router.
Now open a web browser and enter the IP address of your StormFiber router. You can see in the figure that I’ve entered the IP address in address bar of the Google Chrome web browser.

Now you have to enter the Account and Password to log in to the router administration interface.

The Account and Password should have been written on the packaging box of the router. Here is the photo of my packaging box.

Change your StormFiber’s WiFi Password or Name
When you have logged in successfully, click on the WLAN button in the header area.
Enter the new SSID Name (your new WiFi name). Select WPA PreSharedKey as Authentication Mode and Encryption Mode as AES. Enter your new WiFi password in the WPA PresharedKey field. Click on the Hide checkbox to see what you have entered. Don’t forget to click on the Apply button in the bottom area.

Now your WiFi password and name are changed.

Lost the router box. Can the PW still be changed?
Yes, you can still change the WiFi password. But for that you need username and password of your router. You need to contact your local StormFiber office and ask them the username and password of your router. You can also try contacting the StormFiber helpline.
