In this tutorial, you will learn how to block WiFi users on StormFiber. You might want to block some user because he/she is taking too much bandwidth. You might also want to block some user who you don’t recognize.
Let’s start. First, you need the IP address of your StormFiber router. You also need the account ID and password of your router’s web interface. Read this article to find out your StormFiber’s router IP address, account ID, and password.
Open a web browser and enter the IP address 192.168.100.1 in the address bar. This is the IP address of my StormFiber router. Yours might be different. Next, enter the account ID and password of your router.

Find the MAC Address
Click on DHCP Information button in the left side bar. You will see a page that looks like Figure 2.
This page shows a list of devices that have acquired local IP addresses from your router. I would like to block the device with hostname adil_i3. This device is a laptop. I would copy its MAC address. MAC address is an address that is assigned to every networking device in the world. It is supposed to be unique.
Activate MAC Address Filtering to Block WiFi Users
After you have copied the MAC address of the device that you want to block, click on the Security button in the header area. Now click on the WLAN MAC Filter Configuration button in the left sidebar (see Figure 3).
- Select Blacklist from the Filter Mode selection menu.
- Click on the New button.
- In the Source MAC Address field, paste the MAC address that you have just copied.
- Click on the Apply button.
- Finally, click on the Enable WLAN MAC Filter checkbox.
This blocks the WiFi device from connecting to your StormFiber router.
